Tell Gov. Lujan Grisham and the Environmental Improvement Board: Clean cars now

Last October, New Mexico announced a plan to adopt advanced clean car standards, which would reduce air pollution and bring more electric vehicles to our state. Yet the state has yet to take action in 2021.

New Mexico desperately needs these rules to make progress on cleaning up global warming pollution from cars and trucks. Waiting until 2022 to adopt these rules would add a whole year of delay before the new rules could have an impact.

A petition to adopt these rules, submitted by a coalition of public interest organizations, will be in front of the Environmental Improvement Board (EIB) on June 25. Add your name to urge Gov. Lujan Grisham and the EIB to accept the petition and adopt clean cars for New Mexico.
