Support Renewable Energy Expansion in New Mexico

New Mexico is the second sunniest state in the country and twelfth windiest. We should be a national leader in renewable energy. The biggest driver of our solar and wind development is the Renewable Portfolio Standard, which requires utilities like PNM to get 20 percent of their electricity from renewable energy. We need to move New Mexico forward by extending and expanding the Renewable Energy Standard to 80 percent by 2040 and 50 percent by 2030.
